MUKAH: Kampung Petanak here now has its futsal court following the completion of the court project a few days ago.

The new futsal court situated at Kampung Petanak Daya (Petanak Ulu) is certainly good news for the people, especially for futsal enthusiasts in the village. It is learned that before its construction, part of the court was a sepak takraw court.

The implementing agency, Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID), which was represented by Ali Adnan, handed over the keys to the futsal court to Kampung Petanak community leader ‘penghulu’ Edmund Innu Sebli at a simple handover ceremony in Kampung Petanak Daya here on Wednesday.

He is in-charge of three areas in Petanak – Kampung Petanak Daya, Kampung Petanak Seri and Kampung Petanak Jaya, which are located nearby each other.

On July 3, Edmund Innu had disclosed that this project was commissioned by the Sarawak government under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) at an estimated cost of RM250, 000.
