SERIAN: The new Kampung Riih Mawang community hall, costing RM250,000, is expected to be completed on May 17, 2023.
The Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) reported that Bukit Semuja assemblyman John Ilus was present at the earth-breaking ceremony and handover of the project site on Today (Nov 17).
“The hall is one of the Rural Transformation Projects (RTP) approved for 2022 while a total of 23 projects had been approved in the Bukit Semuja area.
“Every year-end, I always discuss with the village head to plan development projects in the village. Priority is given to infrastructure development projects in the village for youth activities, in addition to agricultural development,” he said.
John added that he would distribute some specific projects for the youth to ensure that every segment of the community would enjoy development projects.
In terms of agricultural development, he requested the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) to identify suitable sites for agricultural projects in their respective villages.
