TATAU: More new longhouses will be built under the Kakus state assembly constituency’s Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).

They include the new Rh Gansa Daling at Nanga Tau in Ulu Anap which is expected to be completed by April this year.

Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) reported that Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Native Laws and Customs) Datuk John Sikie Tayai, who is also the Kakus assemblyman, visited the project site recently.

Sikie also witnessed the handing over of the RTP project for upgrading the road heading towards Rh Jeli in Sungai Muput.

Bintulu Division Public Works Department (JKR) assistant engineer Ngu Tie Hua handed over the documents related to the project  to a representative of Rh Jeli Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK).

The event was also witnessed by acting Tatau District Officer Calvin Ligong.
