MUKAH: The new Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kampung Tellian building here is completed.
It is learned that the school administration moved into the new building about two weeks ago.
It is also learned that the pupils and teachers will be moving in when schools nationwide reopen after the Covid-19 situation improves.
On Saturday, the installation of a yellow speed breaker on Jalan Tellian in front of the school, located at Kampung Seri Tellian (Tellian Tengah) here, .was completed. The contractor began the project on Friday.
The speed breaker is to warn motorists to slow down in front of the school for safety purposes..
SK Kampung Tellian was squatting at SK Mukah from June 14, 2004 until April 20, 2021.
The old SK Kampung building was declared unfit for occupation by the authorities in 2004. The pupils and teachers were subsequently ordered to move out and squat at SK Mukah, which is about 4km away near the town.
