
SIMANGGANG: The new Sri Aman II Hospital will be operational by Thursday (Sept 1).
In the first phase of the hospital’s launch, thirteen of its services are made available such as emergency and trauma department, inpatient ward (men, women and children), specialist clinic (apart from psychiatry and obstetrics and gynaecology), pharmacy, pathology lab, radiology, medical social work, medical records, forensics (mortuary), rehabilitation (physiotherapy and occupational therapy), hospital management, food and dietetics and central sterile supply department (cssd).
Starting Sept 15, other units such as maternity ward, obstetrics and gynaecology ward, obstetrics and gynaecology ward specialist clinic, operating theatre, day treatment unit and dog bite clinic, intensive care unit (ICU) and blood bank.
Three more services, namely the haemodialysis unit, CT scan and endoscopy services, will also be offered, although no dates have been set for them to operational.
There are several services that will remain in the old Sri Aman hospital, namely the psychiatric ward, psychiatrist clinic, haemodialysis unit, isolation ward and clinical support services.
For the record, the process of transferring patients from the old hospital to the new hospital started yesterday. For enquiries, the public can reach the hospital at 083-311000.
