LAWAS: New development projects are on the cards for the newly established Sundar sub district here.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said it easier for the state government to plan its development since it is a new area.

The Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) quoted him as saying Tengah the construction of a surau there is one of the community development projects.

There will be many more developments for the welfare of the community, he said.

“Several developments have been proposed involving social facilities and economic activities.

“We also have Rimbunan Kasih with its product, namely rock melon, which has been exported to Singapore.

“Therefore, make use of your lands here with the new technology and plant various types of crops. Although the land is small, the production is high and this is an opportunity for us to increase our income,” he said at the Aidilfitri celebration at Surau Kampung Tanjung Katong, Sundar recently.
