BINTULU: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bintulu established its NEWBEES section as a platform for the youth to learn and get involved in politics.

According to a report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang was present to officiate at the launch of NEWBEES Bintulu section and pre-Christmas celebration recently.

According to Pang, he said the involvement of youth is needed in politics because they are also part of the society and community.

“We must change the mindset of refusing to learn about politics. It is not an easy task but let’s start with Newbees.

“Let’s create a generation that is sensitive to the country’s political situation. We don’t necessarily have to work in politics but it is important to know the political situation in the country,” said Pang.

Meanwhile, NewBees Bintulu Chairman Alan Pang said NEWBEES is the first step of the youth in this state, especially in Bintulu towards the world of politics.

“As youth, we are the future of our country and that’s why we must familiarise ourselves with politics if we want a better future and country,” he said.

Also present was Bintulu Branch SUPP Advisor Datuk Hii Tiong Kuoh.
