KUCHING: About 100 coaches involved with the preparations of the next Sukma held in Perak 2018 attended a briefing which was organised by the Sarawak State Sports Council (MSNS) held at a local hotel here on Saturday At the meeting, which also involved in the preparations for Suksar or Sukan Sarawak held in December, the participants which comprise both local and foreign coaches were told to plan their training programme which include exposure tour so as to get their optimum performance during the Games.

“Training must be done in stages and planning your exposure trips, especially those going outside the country depends on what sports you are in,” said Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) CEO, Dr Ong Kong Swee.

He also told the coaches to inform them the need to hold more sports science courses as the SSC planned to hold more of such courses in Sarawak as it will be costly and time consuming to attend courses organised by the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) held in the Peninsular.
