KUCHING: In anticipation of the thousands of tourist who are expected in Kuching for the Rainforest World Music Festival 2017,  the management of Kuching Waterfront will be preparing a special gift for them to remember of their visit to Kuching.

2000 pieces of specially printed, limited edition postcards will be given out free to tourists at the Kuching Waterfront this weekend.

The postcards featuring 4 different designs are from  local artist Min Wee’s collection of sketches,  and depict the Sarawak Museum, Brooke Dockyard, Upper China Street and the Old Court House.

According to the management of Kuching Waterfront, volunteers will distribute these special postcards cards throughout the weekend, while stocks last.

The cards will come complete  with stamps,  and the tourists are encouraged to send them to their friends at home. It is hoped that the recipients all over the world will know more about Kuching and Sarawak.

In today’s electronic world of impersonal instant messages,  these  postcards with personal hand written messages will be a welcomed change and can be a collectors’ item.

It is also a reminder of the charm and history of the city of Kuching.
