BINTULU: Samalaju assemblyman, Majang Renggi on Thursday led a mobile team of National Registration Department (NRD) office in Bintulu here to Sg Plan community hall.
Majang said the objective of the programme was to assist the community, especially the local folks who reside in the state without a valid document like birth certificates and MyKad especially in the Samalaju constituency.
The visit is the fifth session conducted since last
year for N70 Samalaju also gave the opportunity to have a proper birth certificates and
MyKad document instead of the community from remote area to come to the NRD office for the purpose.
Some 247 applications will be processed in the five days (August 3-7) period starting from 8.30am until 5pm.
The operation involved the following longhouses under the administration of Penghulu Chabi Ak Nangup:-
August 3 (Thursday)- Rh Ngang Ak Ugai
August 4 (Friday)- Rh.Nyalong and Rh.Jaraw Ak Sumok
August 5 (Saturday)- Rh Sumok; Rh.Mew; Kg Wawasan Jaya and Kg Wawasan Rajawali
August 6 (Sunday) – Rh Dundang; Rh Ngelanbong; Rh Robert and Rh Jemat Ak Ochau
August 7 (Monday) – Rh Entali; Rh Kana; Rh Minggat; Rh Bekar; Rh Banyang; Rh Duat; Rh Peter; Rh Christopher; Rh Engkabang; Rh Alih; Rh Senuat; Rh Ikau; Rh Tambi; Rh Achit; Rh Justin; Rh Tanjong; Kg Penan Muslim; Rh JarauAkNyalu; Rh Sanak; Rh Seliong; Rh Sibat; Rh Kepalin; Rh Sigah and Rh Mandau.
Meanwhile the same mobile team will be at community hall, Sepupok Niah next Wednesday (August 9) from 8.30am until 5pm, which involved the following longhouses under the administration of Penghulu Lansam Ak Goyang.
The longhouses are Rh Alo; Rh Hassan; Rh Sagoh; Rh Sepom; Rh Pee Millo; Rh Kalang Jok; Rh Bakar; Rh Golan; Rh Tarang; Rh Gansor; Rh Ngadan Ak Muyang and Rh Ngindang.
Applicants are reminded to be present in person accompanied by their respective Penghulu, Tuai Rumah and witnesses or sponsors.
They should bring with them the following supporting documents like both Identity cards (MyKad) of parents and witnesses/sponsors, death certificates of parents, mothers birth certificate and child maternity clinic card, photo copies of identity card (MyKad), birth/death certificates of
brothers/sisters, marriage certificates and school leaving certificates.
Among the agencies taking part in the campaign are the Immigration Department (Visa Pass section), Commissioner of Oaths from Judicial Department complete with their Mobile Court and Samalaju PRS Service Centre.
Director of NRD, Jasni Haji Jubli, Senior NRD special officer, Sylvester Tausin, Bintulu NRD Chief, Farid Abdullah, Judicial Commissioner of Oaths, Aranie Bryant Ambuh, Head of Visa Pass Unit Immigration Department, Ijah Jumpok and Samalaju PRS Service Centre represented by Thomas Nyaring, Penghulu Chabi Ak Nangup and community leaders were among those present.
