260 recruits become Police Constables

KUCHING:   Sixty women were among the 260 recruits who have joined the Royal Malaysian Police as Police Constables.

They completed their  Police Constable Basic Training Programme   at the Kuching Police Training Centre (Pulapol) here yesterday.

The recruits’ passing out ceremony was  graced by State Deputy Police Commissioner, Dato’ Pahlawan Mohd Dzuraidi Ibrahim.

The recruits completed six months of basic police training   from  December 17, 2017 to  June 19, 2018  on  Police Transformation, Operation Implementation (PGA), Civil Peace, Mind Transformation  and Police Management.

“All the recruits are Sarawakians and the recruitment has increased compared to the previous series,” Dzuraidi  told a press conference yesterday.

At the passing out ceremony, there best recruit  awards were presented, namely, Best Outdoor Training Recruit which went to  Mas Munira Edora Zulkipli, Best Academic Recruit which went to Mohammad Rasyid Othman and Best Overall Training Recruit which was won by Veronica Anak Bujang.

Present were DCP Datuk Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri from the Control Unit of Bukit Aman Police Headquarters,   Pulapol Commandant, SAC Dato Azman Salim, State Police Headquarters Crime Investigation Department chief, SAC Dennis Leong Soon Kuai, Assistant Director Training (Exam/Competency), Bukit Aman Management Department, ACP Chuah Yong Huat, and Kuching District Police chief, ACP Ng Ah Lek.
