SRI AMAN: A house owner had the shock of his life when he found a three-foot long banded krait (Bungarus fasciatus) slithering inside his house in Kampung Hilir here, Tuesday night.
Fearing for the safety of his family, the man contacted Sri Aman Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance.
APM officer, Captain Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim said a team of personnel was deployed to the house to remove the banded krait after receiving an emergency call at 11.00pm.
“It took us about eight minutes to catch the snake using a snake tong,” she added.
Siti urged members of the public who encountered or spotted dangerous animals or reptiles at their residence to contact APM at 083-320973.
