KUCHING: About 30 travellers sought help from SUPP Public Complaints Bureau (SPCB) to obtain refunds from a local travel agency here.
The matter came to light after the group who made full payment for a travel package was informed by the agency that their tour in a foreign country, which was scheduled in April, had been postponed and later cancelled.
During a discussion on the matter, a representative from the travel agency told SPCB chief, Wilfred Yap that the tour did not proceed as planned due to last minute cancellation by the foreign tour operator.
The representative also told Yap that the agency was in the process of obtaining refunds from the foreign tour operator and that they would give full refunds to the affected travellers by the middle of June.
