“This programme can help jobseekers including university graduates, polytechnics, community colleges and high school graduates in Sarawak to meet with employers on a job matching platform.

“The job market in Malaysia especially Sarawak is very competitive not only from the perspectives of the employees but also the employers as both are always searching to obtain candidates or employers who match their requirements and qualifications.

“Not only are workers carefully choosing jobs that can secure their lives, employers are also influenced by business sentiments and the present competitive economic performance. This situation can influence the decision to increase the number of employees and this would undoubtedly affect the opportunities of new employees especially among the youths and graduates,” said Talif.

At the same event, Sarawak Online Career Fair which is organised by UNIMAS in collaboration with JobStreet.com was also launched.

The Sarawak Online Career Fair is a special website created by UNIMAS and JobStreet.com to cater for the Online Career Exhibition in TRACE Programme and MyCareer@MOHE.
