KUCHING: More than 400 members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Semerah Padi, Kuching participated in ‘Gotong Royong Perdana 2018’.

Speaking during the launching of the programme, the President of PIBG SK Semerah Padi, Sabini Basuni expressed her gratitute for the overwhelming support from the parents as well as school children.

“I feel very grateful for the presence of parents and teachers. This programme was held to allow us to meet and familiarise with these school teachers. In addition, the main purpose of the gotong-royong is to clean the school area and also areas that prevent us from monitoring the school environment.

“This cooperation will enable parents to contribute directly to the school. Without the cooperation, we cannot contribute the best to our children who are attending this school. Parents should be more transparent about the school in resolving problems or misunderstandings without transmitting it on social media,” she said.
