594 teachers partake in leadership colloquium

KUCHING: A total of 594 participants were involved in a Leadership Mid-Term Year 2018 Colloquium held at Institut Aminuddin Baki (IAB) Sarawak Branch.

The colloquium which commenced October 22 until 25, 2018 was officiated by the Deputy Director General Director of Education (Development of Teachers’ Professionalism), Dato’ Sulaiman Wak, at the IAB Main Hall here yesterday.

The participants comprised Secondary School Senior Teachers, Primary School Heads of Subjects, and Secondary and Primary School Secretaries from all over the nation.

The four-day colloquium with the theme of “Pemimpin Pertengahan Pemangkin Budaya Pembelajaran Bermakna” aimed to share the best practices in implementing their duties in school.

“It is also to provide a collaboration and network among participants to share their knowledge, experiences and best practices to be implemented in their own schools,” said Sulaiman.

Among the activities featured were talks, presentation, sharing of best practices and education forum.

Also present were Deputy Director of IAB (Training Service), Mistirine Radin, and Director of IAB Sarawak Branch, Dr Abang Hut Abang Engkeh.
