73 cases recorded in 2017 by KPDNKK Mukah

MUKAH:  Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consume-rism Mukah Branch Office (KPDNKK Mukah) recorded 73 various cases for the year 2017.

According to its Branch Head Moses Baok, it  resulted in the confiscation of items valued at RM35,039.96 and the imposing of compound of RM37,650 on various offences.

“From January to February 13, five cases were recorded with the seized items worth a total of RM2,116.20 and compound of RM900,” he said in a press conference recently.

It was held during the launching of Festive Season Price Control Scheme 2018 held at a leading shopping complex in Mukah.

Staged in conjunction with the ongoing Chinese New Year, the event was officiated at by SAO Ismail Kasah, who represented Mukah Division Resident Awang Johari Awang Mustapha.

That control prize scheme which involved 13 items effective  from 10 to 21 February were for Mukah, Dalat, Matu and Daro Districts.

Meanwhile, Moses also pointed out that they always welcome complaints from consumers in regard to certain offences by retailers.

And at the same time they also opened a mobile counter at Mukah Wet Market to attend to consumers’ complaints and other issues.
