Three firemen, led by Senior Fire Officer, Ramlee Sahari, rushed to Miri Hospital after receiving a call at noon from the hospital seeking help to cut the bracelet and ring.

According to Ramlee, the 78-year-old woman is a patient of the hospital and has been receiving treatment in Ward 4 since last week.

He added that yesterday, the woman’s left hand and index finger began to swell  and ache, causing her to seek help to cut her bracelet and ring.

Ramlee added that he and his men took about 90 minutes to cut the bracelet and ring by using special equipment.

“I understand that the lady has been wearing the jade bracelet for over 50 years and the steel ring for three years.
