KUCHING: The “Jualan Sentuhan Rakyat” programme is a platform for the public to buy household products at cheaper prices. According to Minister of Works, Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof, the programme at Kampung Lintang Petra Jaya here yesterday was a National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) collaboration between Petra Jaya Service Centre and some government agencies.

“We bring the products to villages with no middle persons. We also allocate subsidies so that the prices will be cheaper than the market prices.

The programme is held a few times each month, “This is part of the initiative made by the Barisan Nasional in Malaysia to lessen the costs of living for the people,” he explained when visiting the programme at Dewan Kampung Lintang, Petra Jaya, yesterday.

He added if there were colvoterslaborations with big markets such as Emart and others including agencies such as FAMA, products could be brought directly to selected areas. Fadillah disclosed that the progarmme would be held in Petra Jaya again this year.
