SIBU: The Malays ian Civi l Defence Force (APM) Sibu captured a six-foot python hiding in a toilet window of a house in Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi, here yesterday. Sibu APM Officer, Captain Frankie John Jawan said the presence of the python was realised by a woman who wanted to use the toilet.

“The complainant was surprised to see the presence of a python which was slithering around the toilet window of her house,” he explained. Frankie added that the 46- year-old complainant contacted APM Sibu immediately and they arrived at the scene at 7.30am.

“The snake weighing about 400 grams was finally captured using a ‘snake tongue’ technique half an hour later,” he said.

However, Sibu APM Officer could not ascertain as to how the snake was able to sneak into the complainant’s house. “The python may have entered the house from a ditch behind the complainant’s house,” he said.
