MIRI: A man who ran amok and threatened to harm his neighbour was arrested at 6 pm on Wednesday.

The suspect, in his 30s was picked up by police at Kampung Kejapil near here to facilitate investigation into the incident.

The suspect is being remanded for four days from yesterday.

However, the actual cause of the incident has yet to be determined.

According to a source, prior to the incident, the suspect had gone to his neighbour’s house and went amok and threatened his neighbour who later alerted the police.

Fortunately, nobody was injured in the incident.

The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
