SAMARAHAN: The floods that hit several areas in the state in the last few days brought some unforgettable experiences and memories for some flood victims.

Among them is a 22-year-old woman known only as Intan. She has to spend her confinement period at a relief centre in Asajaya Sports Complex here after giving birth to her baby.

Intan and her 38-day old baby, Mia Aisyah were recently moved to the relief centre after her house in Kampung Asajaya was hit by flood.

Despite some minor problems Intan was pleased with the things provided at the relief centre.

“I’m comfortable here. The tents provided to the flood victims helped me with my privacy for the past two days and the services provided by the relief workers are very good,” she said.

Intan was excited when Deputy Chief Minister and Chairman of the State Disaster Management Committee, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah paid the flood victims a visit at the relief centre, yesterday.
