STF (Sarawak Tourism Federation) evolved from the STA (Sarawak Tourist Association), which was established in 1964; it is probably the oldest tourism related non-government organization in Malaysia and its objective is, as a private sector initiative, to bring together all the key tourism players in Sarawak. Membership to STF is by associations although some individual associate members are included.

Officially registered in 2004, STF was formed to be the umbrella organization of all tourism related associations in Sarawak. For this particular event, STF collaborated with one of its component members ASIA (Association of Sarawak Inbound Agencies), wi th the theme : ‘Sa rawa k , so much more to di s cover ’. STF also thanked participants and sponsors of the online contest for making it a big success.
