SRI AMAN: The presence of a hornet’s nest in a junkyard at Jalan Min Chong, Entulang here has caused anxiety among residents in the vicinity.
Hence, after being informed, Sri Aman Civil Defence Force (APM) immediately dispatched a three-member team to destroy the nest before the hornets start to attack the residents there.
“After we received a call at 4.15 pm from a resident in the area named Kiew Kui Van who told us that he was concerned with the presence of a hornet’s nest in a junkyard, we disptached three personnel to the location,” Sri Aman APM officer, Captian (PA) Siti Huzaimah Ibrahim said.
When the team arrived at the location at 7.33 pm, the trio started to light up a fire to burn the hornet’s nest which took about 20 minutes. Siti also took the opportunity to remind the public that should they need any assistance they can always contact Sri Aman APM at tel: 083-320973.
