SELANGAU: A total of 40 military personnel from the Ninth Brigade (9 Bgd) have participated in the ‘Program Jiwa Murni (PJM) Pasca Banjir’ at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kuala Pelugau here yesterday.

In a press statement issued yesterday, the army unit revealed that the programme was also participated by five teachers of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and five firefighters.

They added that the cooperation shown between the two was deemed to be a good thing as well as to maintain the good relationship between the army and society.

Due to the floods in early February, the school was badly affected which required as much help as possible to clean the school environment.

The Armed Forces and firefighters have cooperated to clean the corridors between classrooms and staff room, and remove the mud which had covered the concrete paths around the school area.

The programme was well-received from the residents around the area as well as had strengthened the relationship between the military personnel and the community.
