KUCHING: At least 50 per cent of the children in each family (Malay and Muslim especially) must enter the university either to further their studies for diploma or degrees.

Held at Pullman Hotel here on Tuesday night, he added that parents should provide their children with excellent education so that the children have enough skills to compete with other societies.

“We also want our society to advance in the economy and we want to see more entrepreneurs in our society to venture into various businesses including digital economy, industrialisation and so on.

“In addition, our society should also be a catalyst for the transformation of existing development,” he explained, adding that to achieve excellence, we must mobilise every effort and energy to seek strength from various angles.

Politically, Tengah who is also Minister of Industrial and Entrepreneur Development said, we must always unite and cooperate among our multi-racial and religious communities, both in urban and rural areas.

“No race in this state can rule alone but have to cooperate with other races and this had made Sarawak a stable state ever since.

“Indeed, our intention and purpose is to fight for the our own rights and interests but, at the same time not waive the rights and interests of other races,” added Tengah who is also Chairman of AKYBMS Board Member of Trustees 2016-2019.

Elaborating, he said AKYBMS was established with the state government’s consent as a charity trust agency to serve all members of the Malay and Muslim communities in Sarawak.

Therefore, he explained, AKYBMS needs all the support from the communities to help achieve the mission, vision and objectives.

Apart from that Tengah also took the opportunity to express his gratitude to Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg for his concern to approve the land lot application for AKYBMS to be used to generate returns that benefit the trust body.
