KUCHING: A 25-member delegation from Australia Borneo Exhibition Group led by Ryan Rowland yesterday paid a courtesy visit on Kuching City South Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato James Chan Khay Syn at his office at Padungan here.
Earlier on, before a meeting session with the Mayor, the delegation visited the MBKS Historical Gallery located on the ground floor of the MBKS Building.
Accompanying them during the visit was Dato Lim Kian Hock, Chairman of the STF Heritage Development Committee.
In welcoming the delegation, the Mayor said it was great of Ryan to lead the delegation and it was not easy to come every year without having the enthusiasm and some programmes going on.
He hoped Ryan could bring in more Australians to visit Kuching.
Speaking to reporters later, Ryan said he would be evaluating the visits and partnership with Sabah and Sarawak.
He said the whole development was based on not just bringing people here on family pilgrimage but also to establish cross cultural exchange.
Ryan added that the Australian Borneo Exhibition Group is building a large gallery of profiles that relate to families that had resided here.
