Bangladesh High Commissioner pays coutersy call on KCGCCI

KUCHING: Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia, His Excellency Md. Shahidul Islam accompanied by another three officers paid a courtesy on Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCGCCI), recently. 

They were received by KCGCCI President Tan Jit Kee, Vice President Dr Christopher Ngui, Secretary-General Jonathan Chai Voon Tok, Digital Economy Committee Chairman Rodger Chan, Welfare Committee Chairman Ho Kim Ming, Agriculture Committee Deputy Chairman Wong Diong Chai and Welfare Committee Deputy Chairman, Kapitan Fang Jee Fah.

Shahidul briefed the chamber on the current development, trading and investment opportunities of Bangladesh.  He also invited the KCGCCI members to invest in Bangladesh.

Tan Jit Kee also informed the Bangladeshi High Commissioner about the suspension of employment permits for Bangladeshi labour by the State Government of Sarawak. At the same time, he praised the Bangladeshi workers for their efficiency and attitude.

The officers from the Bangladesh High Commission who attended the meeting were Rais Hasan Sawar, Minister (Political), Sayedul Islam, Councillor (Labour) and Md. Rajibul Ahsan, First Secretary (Commercial).
