MIRI: A man was found dead believed due to a heart attack in a bush at Piasau Nature Park here Monday afternoon.

In the incident at about 5.30pm, the 30-year-old victim was found lying on the ground by the public who happened to pass the area before informing the police.

According to source, the body of the victim was found about 20 metres from his parked car in the area.

He said following the discovery of the victim, a team of policemen rushed to the site to conduct an investigation upon receiving the information.

“The result of the investigation, found no suspicious or any crime evidence in the area,” said the source.

He said the victim’s body was sent to the Miri Hospital for a post-mortem.
According to him, the outcome of the post-mortem found that the victim died of a heart attack and no injuries found on the victim’s body that could be attributed to criminal element.  He said based on information obtained, the victim had a health record.

Meanwhile, District Police chief, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Lim Meng Seah confirmed the incident and said the case was classified as a sudden death.
