KUCHING: A 13-year-old boy was found dead, believed to have been attacked by a crocodile in Sungai Kampung Kawi in Bintangor this evening (22 May).
Andrian Tan was found with wounds on his left thigh by villagers about 500 metres from where he was last seen at 7.10pm.
Prior to the incident, Andrian was said to be relaxing at the water’s edge with his fried when a crocodile grabbed his leg and pulled him into the river.
A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said five personnel from Bintangor fire station led by PBKII Samsawi was deployed to location after they were alerted of the incident at 7.07pm.
The spokesman said the body was taken to a hospital, but was later sent to the victim’s longhouse for burial ceremony following his family’s request.
