KUCHING: The Kuching Waterfront welcomed a burst of colour recently when the recently installed safety bollards were adorned with brightly coloured works of art.
Following the installation of 43 safety bollards to enhance safety, the Kuching Waterfront Management commissioned UNIMAS’ Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts to create another iconic work of art, with the intention to beautify the landscape of Kuching Waterfront and add colour to the landscape.
The street art project initiative is multi-faceted include elements of Sarawak motifs, flora and fauna and also elements designs.
The team of 20 students led by lecturer Mohamad Faizuan Mat were given a free hand to express themselves, and completed the project in two days.
