KUCHING: The Borneo Samariang Water Park is set to open to the public by end of this month.

This was revealed by Sentoria Group Berhad representative, Alison Ong at a press conference at the water park’s premises here yesterday.

“The water theme park will open to the public on this March 31 and the grand opening will be graced by the Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Johari Tun Openg at a later date,” she said.

Meanwhile, Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) Mayor, Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai pointed out that the theme park would contribute to tourism in the state as it would attract not only the locals, but those outside Kuching as well.

“I am personally excited about this theme park because this is another exciting place in Kuching where the people can spend their weekends and holidays.

“This place is also an appropriate venue for conferences as it has good facilities and hotels, and the family can be brought along as they can enjoy the theme park.
