KUCHING: Hilton and Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB) will jointly host We Are the Global Tribes-Redefined Business Forum on August 19 at the hotel’s Grand Ballroom here.

The We Are Global Tribes-Redefined Business Forum unites 100 decision makers from national and international associations, industry partners, government agencies, and media for a highly charged panel discussion on the correlation of global tribes and successful Business Events which can leave a legacy for Sarawak in the nation and the region.

The Business Forum also stages the official launching of Redefining Global Tribes which will follow after at the hotel’s Grand Ballroom.

“As one of the first global players into the Sarawak market it gives us great pleasure to be a part of this event, strengthening and highlighting the position of Hilton through great initiatives such as this allows to further establish the beliefs and values of Hilton in the area while developing the local area in which we are proud to operate,” said General Manager Hilton Kuching Hamish Watts.

Chief Operating Officer of SCB Amelia Roziman also mentioned that SCB are thrilled to have the Hilton Hotel Kuching onboard.

“Its name and facilities makes it the right venue for small and medium scale Business Events and a great showcase of the hotel’s outstanding hospitality in Sarawak.

“Hilton’s full support for this campaign demonstrates what Redefining Global Tribes is about – a unity between Business Events communities to create a stronger identity for the sector and economy,” Roziman concluded.

We Are the Global Tribes- Redefined Business Forum is part of the Redefining Global Tribes 3-day familiarization (FAM) trip spearheaded by SCB to elevate the state’s appeal to international Business Events buyers.

This FAM trip will also coincide with the Tribal Warrior Challenge; an obstacle course race which is open to the public, in which the 100 decision makers will participate in the 3km Biszt Mode taking place on the evening of 19 August.
