Saribas State Assemblyman, Mohammad Raz i Si tam has requested the state government to come up with a master plan for the Debak New Township to meet the developmental needs of the area. “It has the potential to act as the area’s economic development centre because the population is rapidly increasing.
“More entrepreneur premises can be built in this township to help the locals,” he said during his debate at the State Legislative Assembly sitting in Kuching, yesterday. Razi also touched on the issue of drug abuse Saribas.
“We have various agencies like the Malaysian Drug Prevention Association (PEMADAM) and the National Ant i -Drugs Agenc y (AADK) which can work together with non-governmental organisat ions (NGOs ) to tackle thi s problem,” he said.
He also said that his constituents complained that they had not received their identity cards despite already submitting the necessary documents. “Therefore, I reques t the National Registration Department to look into this matter seriously and speed up the process, especially if it involves children in primary schools.”
