BETONG: A car driver was injured and taken to Betong Hospital after the car he was driving collided with a van at Tanu, Jalan Bebangai near here late Sunday afternoon.
Betong BOMBA chief, PBK I Henry Jugah said the accident which happened around 5.30pm involved a car (Proton Iswara) coming from Simpang Layar before it entered the junction to Spaoh and collided with a van.
“We immediately went to the location after receiving an emergency call on the accident. The car driver identified as Alban Enggau, 30, was injured and trapped in his seat after the collision,” he said in a press statement yesterday.
Upon arrival at the location the firemen worked hard to release the trapped car driver before he was taken to Betong Hospital for treatment. The van driver however escaped unhurt. The nine firefighters were led by PBK II Tony Morni.
