BINTULU: A car driver was killed and his passenger seriously injured when the vehicle skidded and overturned at KM26 Jalan Bintulu- Tatau yesterday.
Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, in a statement, identified the car driver who was killed in the 4.45 am crash as Tiban Lubin,49.
The identity of the passenger, in his 50s, had yet to be ascertained, he said, adding that the victim was sent to Bintulu Hospital for treatment.
He said the crash occurred when Tiban was believed to have lost control of the wheel , causing the car to veer and crash into a cement cone by the road side before it overturned.- Bernama
