KUCHING: Sisters, Angel & Anlene know of Hope Place’s charitable work from their mother. With Christmas just around the corner,the two students use money from their savings to buy Christmas presents for the needy kids under the care of Hope Place.
Besides them, Ibraco Sdn. Bhd. staff also donated Christmas gifts for Hope Place’s kids. Currently the Hope Place team is busy distributing the Christmas gifts. Hope Place is an NGO that visits the poor and less fortunate families to contribute some essential food items like rice, cooking oil, sugar, salt, biscuits, and noodles.
Some of these families or individuals barely earn enough to get through the month, hence many are grateful for the assistance delivered to them. For families with children with special needs, or with elderly or disabled people, they are provided milk powder, oat and diapers as well.
Hope Place could only carry out their aid deliveries to a family once in every two months because of the many families in their list of recipients. Currently it supports more than 180 families.
