KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Johari Tun Datuk Abang Openg and his wife Dato Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang attended the Saberkas Triennial General Assembly Dinner on Sunday night. Abang Johari who is also Saberkas President congratulated newly elected Deputy President Datuk Abdul Kar im Rahman Hamzah who won the post uncontested.
Abdul Karim is the State Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports. The four Vice-Presidents’ posts were also won uncontested by Assistant Minister of Rural Electricity Dr Haji Abdul Rahman Junaidi, Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s office Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, Layar As semblyman Geral d Rentap Jabu and Telang Usan Assemblyman Dennis Ngau. Abang Johari also announced the appointment of Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Office (Corporate Affairs) Abdullah Haji Saidol as Saberkas Secretary- General.
Also present was Saberkas Exco member Datuk Roland Sagah Wee In, who is also Assistant Minister of Native Land Development.
