MIRI: A 22-year-old driver was lucky to sustain only minor body injuries after his car skidded off the road and crashed onto a road sign board near Taman Bumiko here in wee hours yesterday.
A team of Miri Civil Defence Department personnel was immediately mobilised to the scene after a distress call was received on the incident around 1.34am.
Prior to the incident, the victim who was travelling alone was heading towards Miri Airport area when he lost control of the car he was driving.
The impact of the crash caused the car to turn turtle.
The injured driver was later taken to Miri Hospital for treatment.
