CM receives three courtesy calls

KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Haji Johari Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg received a courtesy call by the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Malaysia, Mohd Shahidul Islam in the former’s office at DUN Complex, Petra Jaya near here, yesterday.

Mohd Shahidul Islam wasac companied by his wife during the courtesy call. Also present during the visit was the Chief Minister’s wife, Datin Patinggi Dato Hajjah Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang.

The Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Haji Johari Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg also received a courtesy call by the Alumni Association of Tun Abdul Razak College (Old Star) led by its President Dato’ Dr Malike Mahli.

The purpose of the visit was to invite the Chief Minister to become the patron of the association and also a guest of honor at the association’s dinner later this year.

The Chief Minister also received a courtesy call by a delegation from Persatuan Kedayan Limbang led by Assistant Minister of Agriculture, Dr Haji Abdul Rahman Ismail, who is also Bukit Kota Assemblyman.

The delegation was also accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hassan. During the courtesy call the Chief Minister was briefed on the association’s activities and projects.
