KUCHING : Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg yesterday received a courtesy call by delegates representing Persatuan Anak Seni Bandarshah Kuching (PASBK) in his of f ice at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly Complex.

The call by the delegation, led by its Chairman Abdul Rahman Zainudin, was meant to inform Johari on the proposal to build a hall known as Dewan Per tubuhan Anak Seni Bandarshah with the site being proposed to be at the birthplace of the Chief Ministe, namely Bandarshah, in Kuching.

Upon completion, the two-storeyed hall will house two major halls that could accommodate up to between 50 and 60 dining or banquet tables, catering rooms and toilets.

The upper floor will house the rest rooms, music recording room and studio for jamming and rehearsal as well as equipment storeroom. Johari who is also the association’s patron was also given a briefing on the hall as a community centre which could help to enhance the rapport among villagers apart from being used as venue for wedding celebrations and others.

Also present were PASBK Deputy Chairman Sabil Awi, its Treasurer = Albar Abdul Rahman and PASBK members.
