MIRI: Two geese were believed killed by a cobra in a house at Happy Garden Road, Riam near here on Wednesday. Three Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel were dispatched to the scene following a distress call received at 8.04am. According to the house owner, the incident was discovered by his 37- year-old son.

He added that his son was shocked when he saw their geese kept inside a cage at the backyard dead. “He saw a cobra slithering away from the cage after killing the geese and worried for our safety, we immediately alerted the APM,” said the house owner who wished anonymity. It took the APM team less than 15 minutes to catch the one-metre long cobra.
