Coffee lovers take note of Indonesia-Sarawak Coffee Festival

KUCHING: The three-day Indonesia-Sarawak Coffee Festival kicked off at CityOne Megamall here yesterday.

It features 20 exhibition stalls by coffee entrepreneurs from Medan, Jakarta and Pontianak, Indonesia. 

Indonesian Vice Consul-General (Social Affairs and Culture) to Sarawak, Ringgi Perdini said the festival aims to introduce a variety unique flavors of coffee from various districts of the republic to coffee enthusiasts in Kuching

“We hope the Indonesian coffee entrepreneurs will be able to market the products of the commodity through the ‘business matching’ event that was held Thursday  involving buyers from Sarawak, Sabah and Singapore.

“Besides exhibitions, visitors will enjoy coffee cupping, coffee talk, movie screening, barista demonstration, coffee workshops, coffee network, lucky draw and performance from Indonesian famous singer Hetty Koes Endang,” she told reporters, here yesterday.
