KUCHING: An elderly couple was injured after the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a car at a traffic light junction at 41/2 Mile, Kuching-Serian Road at 7am yesterday.
The couple was on their way to shop.
The impact of the collision caused both of them to be thrown off the motorcycle and landed on the road. The man fractured his right leg while his wife sustained only minor injuries.
The car driver escaped unhurt. An ambulance later took the injured couple to the Sarawak General Hospital where the man was warded.
