MUKAH: Some 103 new RELA (People’s Volunteer Corps) members in this district attended an introduction course held at Kpg Tabo’s Community Hall here last Wednesday. The course facilitators were Mukah District RELA Officer, Shazali Sulaiman and Mukah District RELA Assistant Officer, Awang Abdul Rahman Awang Sahjiri.
Among the topics discussed were on membership and insurance coverage through their participation in RELA. Response to the course from residents of Kampung Tabo and Kampung Teh was very encouraging.
The course participants were each presented with a certificate of participation during the closing ceremony of the course which also featured lucky draws.
Also presents were Administrative/ Operation Officer, Norliza Matin, Area RELA Relations Head, Ulai Sukup, senior members of the local RELA unit, Musthapa Jelihi, Komeng Bakar, Kaderi Yaman, Razali Zawawi, and Kpg Tabau Village Chief, Marpaty Tamadee.
