KUCHING: Head coach David Usop admitted that he was relieved after Sarawak managed to bring home a point from a goalless draw in the Super League against Perak at Perak Stadium, Ipoh on Tuesday night.

Although the main objective was to win over the host was not fulfilled, David said: “The one point is valuable to be brought back to Sarawak. The players have tried their best but we have to accept the result.”

The result also showed signs of his team’s revival.

According to David, the conditions of the little slippery field due to the rain throughout the game contributed to his team’s failure to achieve full points.

Balanced action were showed by both teams during the match while Sarawak have three chances to score in the first half and two chances through Mateo Roskan compared to a chance in the second half through new import striker from Singapore, Mohamad Sahil Suhaimi.

On the performance of the two new imports – Milos Raickovic and Mohamad Sahil Suhaimi – during the match, David was overall satisfied.

“Both of them only trained for three days with us, but it appeared to give us a significant impact in two positions (centre and forward) and I believe they need a little more time to show their abilities and real touches,” added David.

“I believe this long rest period during Ramadan will provide an opportunity for both of them to increase understanding with other players,” said David again.
