PUTRAJAYA: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) members were warned against adopting the culture of seeking business contracts and positions in the party.

Armada (Youth) chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman reprimanded several representatives who often raised the issue of contracts and positions, as if they were the main focus of the Annual General Assembly (PAT) this year.

“Friends, we are not Umno. Reevaluate. Look in the mirror. We have one seat in Perak. Wants everything, GLC, posts, contracts. That is very problematic,” he said when winding up the debate on the party’s PAT here yesterday.

“Look back to when we first started to conceive Bersatu. Recall where we were at that time (when) we had no posts, no property, no contracts (when) what we had were all relieved off us and blocked.
