OYA: A family was made homeless after their double-storey wooden house in Kampung Bakong here was destroyed by fire yesterday morning.
Nine firemen from Mukah fire station led by PBK II Azahari Mohd Dai rushed to the scene after they received a distress call at 8.48am.
The firemen with a fire engine and a support vehicle arrived at the scene at 9.15am and completed the operation at about 10.54am.
It was learnt that 95 per cent of the wooden structure was destroyed by fire. No injury or casualty was reported in the fiery incident.
The estimated loss and cause of fire is still under investigation.
