Engkilili shooting victim under treatment at SGH

THE victim being transferred to SGH for further treatment.

KUCHING: A 47-year old man was shot while going frog catching at 9pm on Monday. 

SAC Dennis Leong, Head CID Sarawak confirmed that the victim was with four friends at Temawai Tebok Sawai Engkilili looking for frogs when he was shot. 

At midnight, police at Engkilili received a report from a farmer that one of his companions sustained gunshot wounds. The friends claimed they heard a gunshot and one of his companions screamed in pain. 

The companion sustained pellet wounds on the left side of his head and left arm.

He was rushed to a clinic in Merindun for treatment and was later transferred and warded in Sri Aman Hospital and was said to be in stable condition.

He was later sent to the Sarawak General Hospital, Kuching for further treatment. Police are still investigating.
