KUCHING: Local football enthusiasts now has a chance to witness the former Sarawak players in the era in action again in a friendly match between former players (Ngap Sayot Team) against the Sarawak State Stadium Corporation selection team.
Competition coordinator, Burhaniza Abu Bakar said the friendly match will be played at Padang C, Petra Jaya, here, on August 18 .
“We will hold a friendly match against the team in Padang C, Petra Jaya at 4.00pm on August 18,” said Burhaniza on Thursday.
According to Burhaniza, among the former players Ngap Sayot squad who will join the match will be Pengiran Bala, Abu Bakar Amran, Mohd Ali Sapiee, Ramos Sari, Ramles Sari, Bobby Pian, Affendi Julaihi, Affendi Jol, Dahlan Matusin, Razak Ismail, David Hamid, Roslan Mustafa, Zulkifli Rosli.
“This friendly match aims to bring back memories of our past teammates.
“Besides trying to give fans the opportunity to look closely once more at the former legend who had been their idols in the glory days of the squad,” added Burhaniza.
